It was such an honor and delight to be part of the January Chinese New Year celebrations at da Shop, Honolulu’s fabulous independent bookshop, where I presented Remembering Shanghai to a great audience.
We were also treated to a Chinese New Year blessing by the Chinese Lion Dance Association – including an enchanting lion cub dance by the children – and Mozaic Paper pop-up, and live calligraphy by Ina Chang. It was wonderful to see the excellent turnout!
It was a great way to get into the Chinese New Year spirit – a very happy Year of the Pig to everyone!
